With a noble cause of free service and looking more and more people worship through service, looking more ways to serve a dignified way for the dignified sufferers, to apply ‘right approach’ for every problem through use of multiple intelligences by highly qualified and experienced experts of their field, a non-governmental organisation under the name and style of ‘We For You’ is working for the common man in Udhampur. It is apolitical, social and devotional organisation of ex-police officers, revenue officers, engineers, bankers, educationist, doctors, advocates and all intelligent minds. It is a common understanding of all these associates, who happened to be experts of their field, to channelise their energy and experience and to utilise it, as a service to mankind for redresses of their grievances by free advice and to follow their cause less than one platform of this organisation.
It is a hard reality that people have to suffer for redresses of their grievances, owing to their ignorance of working styles of officers/officials in every department. The poorer class is much exploited and is not in a position to follow their matters by visiting to various offices on daily basis to know the fate of their matters, ranging from very minor issues to matters of much importance. It is from getting a death certificate to fair investigations into the complaints lodged by people in Police Department, asking for a copy of Girdawari to registration of lands and getting fairer justice in land disputes from Revenue Department, compensation matters on damages by natural calamities, minor check up in hospitals to getting indoor admissions in hospitals, unnecessary litigations and their exploitations, admissions in educational institutions and exploiting the parents and students in private schools, seeking jobs in government services, discrimination for providing the basic needs of daily life such as water, electricity, pathways on political considerations and many more. The people are not fully aware about the situations so created by the dealing hands in various departments for their ulterior motives and indirectly compelling the ‘Redress Seeker’ to adopt the other measures, as of paying bribe in order to get the solace for which, they are otherwise entitled. The benefits of various people friendly schemes of the government and the ways to obtain their benefits are badly exploited by the implementing authorities and especially at the low rung dealing hands, due to the ignorance of the common man and lack of awareness. The common man falls prey to this section of employees and he has no other way except to adopt set ways of getting the things done, such as paying bribes or to muster political pressure, from their elected members, which may be at the block or Panchayat level or Assembly or Parliament level. This practice leads to political interference in the working of the departments and also exploitation of voters at the time of elections, as the contestants try to en-cash the favours shown to the common man during his trouble time.
The prime aim of this organisation is ‘advisory in nature’ and ‘follow up’ in action, for all sorts of problems being faced by a common man irrespective of his financial position and background of rural or urban origin. The aim of the organisation is to come to the rescue of the sufferers and to follow their grievances for a logical conclusion, without any financial implications or their all time presence. In this way this organisation is providing to the common man a solace at their doorstep without a single penny. Thus the time and money so saved by the people is utilised to other aspects to uplift their living standard. The organisation provides expert free consultations on all subjects and matters related to police, revenue, banking, works department, health sector, all welfare schemes, and proper advice to the matters of disputes of any nature. The organisation manages early and timely appointments with expert doctors of needy patients free of any payment.
It has been observed that, it is a daily phenomenon that people protest on roads and hold demonstrations for their day to day basic needs and they resort to such measure after all possible ways are exhausted and when their repeated requests and complaints are not paid heed by the concerned departments and their officers. This organisation of retired officers from different departments, is at the forefront and follow such requests of people and commitments by the concerned department.
The organisation feels itself well equipped with the various acts and provisions to ensure providing of services well in time to the needy and seekers. The organisation is committed to ensure that benefits of various acts such as The Jammu and Kashmir Right to Information Act, 2009: The Jammu and Kashmir Public Services Guarantee Act, 2011 trickle down to the common man in real perspective and the organisation keeps hawks eye on this aspect.
