JAMMU: Wave Cricket Club defeated KC Sports Club (KCSC) by 30 runs in exhibition match played at KC Sports Complex as a part of Yuvraj Singh Excellence Academy’s promotions, here on Sunday.
Earlier batting first after winning the toss, WCC scored a total of 175 runs in 20 overs for the loss of five wickets.
For WCC, Ujjwal Singh (Rimple) was top scorer with 86 runs of 33 balls, Parteet Singh and Amit Singh scored 26 and 19 runs respectively.
For KC Sports Club Arjun Chowdhary was most economical bowler giving only 19 runs in his four over quota. Bablu and Ajay took one wicket each.
In reply, Jatin Wadhwan and Arjun Chowdhary gave KCSC a solid start of 80 runs in just seven overs. Jatin Wadhwan was dismissed at 23 of just 18 balls by Aakash Khajuria. Gursimran Singh took brilliant catch at square leg.
Arjun Chowdhary was dismissed by Kamalpreet Singh after playing a quick knock of 33 runs in just 14 balls. Amritpal contributed 23 runs to total, after his dismissal wickets fell at regular interval and KC Sports Club only managed to score 145 runs for loss of nine wickets. For WCC, Aakash Khajuria was pick of the bowlers taking three wickets, Inderpal Singh Pali and Gursimran Singh shared two wickets each.
Rodney Jones, Ex- Coach England and Wales Cricket Club, was also present during the match.
