JAMMU: Vyaktitva-2014, a personality hunt show, has been conceptualized by Janhit Society, Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh and in collaboration with ‘Asha’, Jammu, aims to bring into limelight the potential of the youth of Jammu.
The event is being held on 16th November 2014 at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, Jammu University, Niharika Singh of Janhit Society told reporters, here today.
“Through this event we want to break the myth that persons of a certain physical appearance only are popular and we also want to highlight the importance of nurturing the overall personality of an individual rather than focusing on only one aspect,” she said.
Since youth is the biggest asset for any nation and it is of an urgent need that we reinforce the potential and confidence amongst them, she said, adding that we as an NGO want to address the same in all the possible ways.
Janhit Society in collaboration with Asha, Jammu chose the Indian Red Cross Society to be associated with them, she added.
The winner of this event will be the Ambassador for Red Cross Society-Jammu Region for one year, she said.
Through this show we are donating around Rs 1 lakh to Red Cross Jammu through Donor Passes for further utilization, she said
The press conference was also addressed by Capt. Anil Gour of ASHA along with R.C Puri, Hony Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society and Digvijay Singh Jamwal, Chairman, Display Your Talent, Jammu University Alumni.
