JAMMU: Appealing the masses to make use of the power of vote
wisely and judiciously, Congress candidate from Jammu-East,
Vikram Malhotra on Thursday said that his main aim is to work for
the development of the constituency and ensure that people get
better amenities and secured life.
Stressing that Vikram Malhotra is a synonym of development
and change, he appealed to the people, particularly the youth to
use their vote judiciously and do not waste it by falling into the
trap of false promises made by those who call themselves leaders
but have never done anything for the masses.
He was speaking after inaugurating an election office at
Kanji House in Ward-7, here. He was accompanied by a large
number of his supporters, Congressmen, locals and elderly
people from the vicinity who were seen raising slogans in favour
of Malhotra. Congress activists Rama Mehra and Vishal Gupta
were also present on the occasion.
While addressing the gathering, Malhotra said that Congress
is the only party which can solve the problems of common
masses and can develop all regions equally.
Saying that Jammu-East has remained a neglected
constituency in the district, he asked the people to come forward
and make this a model constituency. Promising his support
towards achieving this goal, he said, “I am with you and will
remain with you, whether voted to power or not.
Vikram said he has already carried out a wide range of
development works in this constituency and appealed to the
electorates of Jammu East to vote in his favour and give him a
chance to serve them better.
Underlining the need to further accelerate the process of
progress and development in the Jammu East constituency,
Malhotra assured the people that yet another united show of
strength will enable him to fulfill his dream of converting Jammu
East constituency into a “Model constituency” of Jammu region.
He appealed to all citizens of J and K particularly, Jammu
East Constituency to vote judiciously, wisely in favour of a right
candidate as this vote is the future of the country and its people.
He assured that he will leave no stone unturned to make Jammu
East constituency into a Model constituency.
Apart from opening election office at Kanji House, Malhotra
also opened election offices in Ward-1 at Chowk Chabutra and
Panjthirthi.
Among others present during the inaugurations were Shiv Ram,
Thomas Khokhar, Vishal Gupta, Ramma, Seema, Tulsi, Sanjay,
Goldy, Geeta, Bobby, Sharda, Satya and Harshvarden Lakha.
