JAMMU: Rajeev Dogra, senior volleyball coach of SAI felicitated by Volleyball Association of J&K on his superannuation at Lemon Tree Hotel yesterday evening.
In a simple and impressive function organised in honour of Dogra, who is relinquishing after serving 31 years in SAI, office bearers led by Raj Daluja Patron-in-Chief, Sidharth Daluja President appreciated the multi-faceted personality of Dogra in scaling new heights in volleyball game in J&K UT.
Dogra’s tremendous contribution in creating history in the field of volleyball game by securing 3rd position of J&K UT volleyball junior volleyball boys team in 48th Junior National volleyball championship would be remembered by all. Besides others, H S Gill Executive Vice President, Kuldip Magotra CEO, Vijay Magotra General Secretary, Romesh Sharma Treasurer, Manmeet Singh Joint Secretary, Akbar Ali Office Secretary of the association also interacted during the function. Bhanu Partap Singh Assistant Director, SAI who was the special invitee in the function, lauded the head & heart qualities of Dogra for improvement of sport in general and volleyball game in particular.
Parteek, Volleyball Coach of SAI also graced the function.
Dogra expressed his profound gratitude to all office bearers of Volleyball Association of J&K for their support/guidance from time to time for overall improvement of volleyball game with special reference to production of international/national volleyball players in J&K UT. Dogra was honoured with memento/Shawl on the occasion. Office bearers of the association called upon Dogra to continue to render his services during the post retirement life for promotion of volleyball game in future as well.
