JAMMU: Vishal Academy of Taekwondo won overall trophy of the Second Vishal Memorial Open Taekwondo Championship organised by the Jammu Kashmir Taekwondo Association at Dogra Brahman Pratinidi Sabha, which concluded here on Sunday.
The overall champions’ trophy in Mini Boys Group was bagged by BSF Ankur Playway School, sub-junior boys by CRPF Kids Club, sub-junior girls by Rakwal Taekwondo Club, junior boys by District Kathua and junior girls by Humanity Public School.
The championship was organised in the memory of Master Vishal Sharma who was the founder of all martial Arts in J and K. His Children Yuvraj, Sidhant and Krishna were also present.
Senior BJP leader, Chander Mohan Sharma was the Chief Guest and State President Sports Wing BJP, Pradeep Sharma was the Guest of Honour in the closing ceremony.
Others present were H. Pangotra (Retd AEE), D.S Bisht Deputy Commandant CRPF, Yogesh Sharma Assistant Commandant CRPF, Ramesh Sharma, Manoj Khajuria, Pankaj Sharma, Vishal Kholi and Amit.
The Technical team was headed by Sanjay Kumar and Rajat Thakur (National Referees) with officials as Mukta Gupta, Rahul Singh Chib, Sunil Singh, Pankaj Kumar, Nariender Sharma, Nitish Anand, Vipen Sharma and Balvinder Singh.
