Vishal Jammu Kings scripts first win in 5-match series

JAMMU: After losing opening three matches, Vishal Jammu Kings registered first win in the ongoing five-match cricket evaluation series for junior cricketers being organised by Jammu Sports Council and J and K Sports Promoters Club Jammu at Parade Ground, here on Sunday.
In today’s match, Vishal Jammu Kings defeated Jammu Rising Stars by 10 runs.
Batting first, Vishal Jammu Kings made 149 runs for the loss of six wickets in 30 overs. Abay with (34), Ragav Thakur (32), Akshit (25) and Kannav (25) runs were the main scorers.
For Jammu Rising Stars, Agastaya claimed two wickets while Umer Sadiq, Jugjap, Ashim and Adishwer shared one each.
In reply, Jammu Rising Stars could not achieve the target in 30 overs and made 139 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Rohan Gill with (27), Arya Suvansh (21), Adhishwer (19) and Laith August (13) runs were the main scorers. For Vishal Jammu Kings, Praful, Nalin and Aditpal shared two wickets each while Abay took one. Abay was declared as Man of the Match.
Today’s match was officiated by the technical panel comprising Sandeep Manchanda, Sanjay and Vinod.
It is pertinent to mention that Vishal Jammu Kings lost all three matches against Jammu Rising Stars in the series.
