JAMMU: Virender Chib, a class 11 student at KC Public School, has qualified to represent the State of J and K at the 62nd National School Chess Championship 2016-17 scheduled to be held at Telangana Ranga Reddy Centre in Hyderabad shortly.
He made his way to the national level championship after his outstanding performance in the chess tournaments organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Government of J and K at Inter District, Inter Division and State levels at MA Stadium Jammu and at Youth Hostel Nagrota last month. In a special morning assembly, Principal, Amarendra Mishra, congratulated Virender for his excellent performance in the game.
