JAMMU: Viraj Kala Kendra Jammu celebrated 28th Foundation Day at Amar Singh Club auditorium on Sunday amid strict observance of COVID-19 SoPs. The programme was attended by a number of people from various sections of society.
S K Sharma, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax was the chief guest on the occasion and applauded works done by the club in the field of art and culture during past few years especially during lockdown.
Speaking on the occasion, Raj Bharti, Chairman of the club informed that she along with her husband Late Vidya Rattan Khajuria, an eminent Sculpturist, have established the club in 1992.
Freedom Fighters Memorial Association felicitated S K Sharma for his contributions in the field of literature. They also felicitated Raj Bharti, Chairperson of club. A Nukkad Natak based on COVID-19 was presented by the members of Viraj Kala Kendra, which was written and directed by Rajneesh Gupta. The artists who performed in play included Lalita Tapasvi, Sapna Soni, Pawan Verma, Meera Tapasvi, Anuj, Anmol and Ritik. A beautiful song was sung in the melodious voice of Arun Slan.
The proceedings of the programme was conducted by Sapna Soni and Sunny Mujoo.
