UDHAMPUR: People of Bariyan Mohalla Ward No 5 Udhampur Town under the leadership of social worker Sumit Magotra held a protest against PHE Department for the supply of polluted, dirty and filthy drinking water to the people.
They raised slogans against authorities of PHE Department and showed polluted water in bottles to the media persons.
While addressing the gathering Sumit Magotra disclosed that from last one week department is supplying dirty drinking water in Udhampur town which may causes several water born viral diseases which includes protozoa infection , Amobiosis, Jaurdiosis, hepatitis, Jaundice .
Magotra warned PHE authorities that if appropriate and necessary measure will not taken with immediate effect than people will initiate a agitation in whole Udhampur District.
Sunita, Suman Kumari, Lalita , Ashok Sharma, Sham Bansal, Anil, Arjun Singh, Yogeshwar, Rajesh, Subash, Minu Sharma, Vipan Gupta were present with demonstration.
