JAMMU: Vikas Bhola, son of O P Bhola and Lata Bhola, a resident of Channi Himmat in Jammu has been declared qualified for award of Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Architecture by NIT Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh.
He worked on the topic ‘Eco-Framework for Religious Tourism of Trikuta Hills: Study of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Mandir, Katra’ under the supervision of Prof. (Dr) Minakshi Jain and Dr Inderpal Singh NIT Hamirpur.
During his research, Vikas also published two papers ‘Importance of Water at Pilgrimage Holy Town, Mata Vaishno Devi Katra’ in international journal of Landscape Planning and Architecture, and ‘Waste Management Model for Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Pilgrimage Holy Town, Jammu, India’ in International Journal of Innovative Research in Technology.
Presently, he serves as senior expert consultant on different projects in the country funded by World Bank, Landscape expert for Srinagar Smart City under Fortress Infracon Limited and doing research on sustainable development through landscape managing and designing in a way that promotes environmental conservation, social equity, and economic viability.
