POONCH: The vigilant Chowkidar foils a theft attempt in the District Court Poonch by three burglars during the intervening night of 6th and 7th November, 2016. He immediately informed the security guard deployed and with their rapid action, one of the thieves was nabbed.
According to the information three burglars tried to enter the court were spotted by the Chowkidar Rajesh Kumar who immediately alerted the guard and nabbed one of the thieves identified as Showkat Hussain, son of Mir Mohammad, resident of Khari, Poonch while two others managed to flee taking benefit of the dark.
Immediately on receipt of information the Police team headed by Dy SP Headquarters Mohan Lal reached the spot, collected the available evidence and arrested the burglar. According to police Showkat Hussain is a professional burglar and is involved in number of other cases. The arrested thief disclosed the names of his accomplices as Gohar and Arun of Rajouri. The police launched a manhunt to nab the remaining two thieves and solve the cases of theft including two earlier thefts in the court itself.
