VFI selects 30-member Indian Senior Men’s Volleyball team

AURANGABAD: Volleyball Federation of India (VFI) on Monday selected 30-member Indian Senior Men’s Volleyball team for the 2018 Asian Games to be held at Indonesia.
The probables have been selected by the Selection Committee comprising Ramavtar Singh Jakhar, Secretary General VFI, G.E Sridharan (Arjuna and Dronacharya Awardee), National Coach, Dalel Singh (Arjuna Awardee), Dr. Bir Singh Yadav, Chief Coach and Gurjot Singh, Assistant Coach during the selection trials held at SAI Centre, Aurangabad on November 27 and 28, 2017.
“The selected players are now in the Coaching Camp being held at SAI Centre, Aurangabad, Maharashtra towards preparation for the 2018 Asian Games.” Ramavtar Singh Jakhar said in a handout.

A (Karnataka), Vinith Kumar (ONGC), Anup Singh (Services), Angamuthu (Railways), Aswal Rai (Karnataka), Shubham Kumar (Indian University), Sonu Kumar (Rajasthan), Muthusamy (Kerala), Jatin Singh (Rajasthan), Yeswanth Kumar (Telangana), Nisanth Thomas (Andhra Pradesh), Prabhagaran. S (Railways), Vinayak Rokde (Karnataka), Hardeep Singh (Punjab), Prasanth. P (Andhra Pradesh), Suresh Kumar(Rajasthan), Prabhakaran P (Railways), Pankaj Sharma (Services), Abhishek (Haryana), Amit Kumar (Haryana) and Hari Prasad (SAI South).
