KATHUA: In compliance with the directions of Govt. regarding the reconstitution of Village Education Committees(VECs) and holding of Community Participation Fete, such a fete was organised by all the Govt. Schools of Kathua District under the supervision of Zonal Education Officers concerned and overall guidance of Balbir Singh, Chief Education Officer,Kathua .
In the function members of the Village Education Committee constituted in reference to Govt. Order No. 272-Edu of 2015 dated: 12th June 2015 participated with full enthusiasm. The members of the committee were made aware of their role for the overall development of the educational institutions and for the improvement of quality education for the students.
The committee members were also made aware of the schemes implemented in the Education Department like SSA, RMSA, Mid Day Meal and their role for the utilisation of funds allotted under these schemes besides monitoring of schemes as well . The staff of the schools advised the committee members to take active participation in the increase of the enrolment in the schools . The members also spoke on the occasion and shared their experiences with other committee members and the staff present and assured their full cooperation for the overall development of the school as well as to improve the quality of education among the students.
