JAMMU: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) will hold a Three-days’ 30th Annual Conference of Agricultural Economics Research Association (AERA), New Delhi on Institutional Changes for Inclusive and Sustainable Agricultural Development from December 21 to 22 at the Main Campus, Chatha.
The conference is expected to be attended by renowned agricultural economists and scientists. In this regard, a meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Prof. J. P. Sharma, Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu to review the preparations for the event.
Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu, during his deliberation, congratulated the Organizing Secretary, Prof. Sudhakar Dwivedi for conducting the important event of the present era.
He emphasized the role of institutions for sustainable agricultural development of the country.
He sought active participation and deliberations on important themes of the conference from research scientists, students, industry experts, and start-ups from prestigious organizations in the country.
Prof. Sharma informed that one session will be exclusively kept for Jammu and Kashmir with theme Economic Transformation under one nation one policy so that all the agriculture stakeholders will be on the same platform to discuss the issues and challenges in J&K UT.
Organising secretary of the conference, Prof. Sudhakar Dwivedi said that the event will provide a platform for scientists, academicians, students industry representatives, and policymakers to discuss the Institutional changes for agricultural development in the Jammu and Kashmir UT and at National level.
The conference is being organised by Agricultural Economics Research Association in collaboration with SKUAST-Jammu. The meeting was attended by statutory officers of the university, conveners, co-conveners and organizing committee members from SKUAST-Jammu.
