UDHAMPUR: Vice Chancellor (VC), University of Jammu (JU) Prof Umesh Rai, undertook a comprehensive evaluation of the Udhampur Campus on Saturday.
Accompanied by a delegation, Prof. Rai assessed the newly constructed infrastructure and ongoing developmental endeavors to foster academic brilliance within the campus premises.
Prof Yash Pal, Rector, Udhampur Campus provided an insightful overview of the campus’s recent strides and emphasized pivotal initiatives and achievements.
Prof. Yash Pal underscored infrastructural necessities essential for the seamless execution of academic programs and student accommodation.
Acknowledging the diligent efforts of Prof. Yash Pal and his team, Prof. Rai directed the accompanying officials to redress various campus issues highlighted during the visit promptly.
Prof Meena Sharma, Dean Planning and Development, JU pledged unwavering support towards fulfilling infrastructural requisites.
Engaging with the faculty, staff, and students, Prof. Rai stressed the imperative of identifying new skill development courses, particularly tailored to meet the needs of Udhampur District students. He also urged the establishment of Smart classrooms to facilitate dynamic interaction between Udhampur Campus students and senior faculty from the Main Campus and other premier institutes nationwide.
In recognition of their contributions to the holistic advancement of Udhampur Campus, Prof. Rai distributed commendation mementos among the deserving students, faculty, and staff.
Prof. Meena Sharma reiterated the commitment to address infrastructural challenges, ensuring the seamless execution of diverse academic and skill development programs at Udhampur Campus.
