VC JU should be dismissed: ABVP

STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: State Secretary, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarathi Parishad (ABVP), Varsha Jandial asserted that when the whole country is contributing to the nation in different aspects and also boosting up the moral of security forces who are continuously fighting for the nation, it is a matter of great concern as well as shame that Vice Chancellor (VC), University of Jammu (JU), Prof R.D Sharma had questioned the integrity of our national security forces.
Talking to media persons here on Wednesday, Varsha said, “We all know that every year when secretariat moves to Kashmir , situation somewhere becomes disturbing as it is in the nature of separatists and this time coincidentally the encounter of Burhan Wani took place at the same time and they took this issue to exploit the life of the common people especially students.” Burhan Wani, she said, could never be the icon of any person as he was purely a destructing element and well demanded terrorist of the time.
He had exploited the life of the bulk of youths by letting them follow the path of terrorism which ultimately leads to innocent killings, she added.
The students are not accepting his anti-national approach and VC have no right to be on his official chair, she asserted.
She said, “ABVP clearly demands dismissal of VC and ensured that if it does not happen then ABVP will take it as an awareness campaign further putting a pressure on the Government as well as Chancellor to take action against him.”
Ganesh Kunde, ABVP state Joint secretary and Jammu Mahanagar Joint Secretary G.M Ali were also present in the press conference.
