The ongoing violence in Kashmir Valley is a cause of concern for all Indians in general and nationalists in particular. Controlling the Jihadi youth by force or recruitment in Armed Forces may not yield sustained results, when even the Supreme Court, secular politicians/media and human rights activists have displayed their intentions against the security forces’ operations.
The Union Government must strive to scrap Article 370 from the Constitution, which has been a commitment of the BJP too. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti must be pressured to give her consent, and a tough posture must be adopted against trouble-makers in the Valley and outside.
