Vakil seeks public support to end dynasty politics in Kashmir

STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Former Minister Abdul Gani Vakil on Sunday sought the support of the people of Jammu and Kashmir to end dynasty politics in the State and asked the people to endorse the trend against dynasty politics shown by the people of India in just concluded assembly elections.
Saying that expansion of dynasty politics is as dangerous as the rise of communal forces in India and more so in Jammu and Kashmir State.
Vakil, in a statement, said the people in more than thirty constituencies of Kashmir have got a golden opportunity to give their verdict against the rise of dynasty politics and rise of communal forces in the State. Saying that three generations of Abdullah’s and Mufti’s have exploited the people of Kashmir in the name of Kashmir Resolution but have largely contributed in the erosion of Article 370 and complication of Kashmir resolution, Vakil regretted that ballot has been used for power struggle but not for peace and dialogue by both NC and PDP along with their allies in Kashmir.
He called upon the people of Kashmir to reject the traditional emotive politics and strengthen those forces who are determined to uproot those forces who had all along been exploiting the sentiments of the people to grab power and least concerned to help the people in order to come out of miseries.
