JAMMU: Kerala Institute of Local Administration, Thrissur hosted a national-level conference on ‘Enhancing value of women & girls through Panchayats’, which was organized by MoPR and Ministry of Women & Child Development Government of India with resource persons from different departments expressing their views. Two Sarpanchs from J&K were sent to attend the conference by the Ministry of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Jammu & Kashmir (UT) under directions and supervision of Director Rural Devp. Khalid Majeed, and ACD Srinagar Sayeed Farooq Ahmed as Nodal Officer. Those who were sent to attend the event included Sarpanch Raman Wazir and Sarpanch Balbir Singh Jasrotia.
Both the participants expressed satisfaction and thanked Director Rural Development for providing them an opportunity to attend the conference. They also thanked Director RDD and Nodal Officer ACD, Sayeed Farooq Ahmed, who accompanied them for assured sincere participation and implementation of objectives of conference in their Panchayats.
