The attack was carried out in Shawal Valley in the North Waziristan tribal region yesterday.
A security official said that the drone fired two missiles at a ‘hideout’.
“Six militants were killed and two injured in the attack,” he said.
The death toll is feared to rise as those injured in drone attacks seldom survive.
Most of those killed were foreigners, according to a report in the Dawn.
Shawal is a mountainous and thickly forested region along the border with Afghanistan.
The rebels are believed to be still hiding in the area after fleeing from other areas of North Waziristan where operation ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ against militants is in progress.
