Under strong leadership of Narendra Modi, India is world’s largest economy: Chugh

JAMMU: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Friday said that the recently released report of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has shown India’s estimated GDP growth at 6.3 per cent for the financial year 2023-24.
This is a sign of India on the world stage and symbolizes a strong and powerful image, Chugh said in a statement issued to media.
He said that the light of ‘Modinomics’ lit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014 is illuminating the entire world.
“Be it the Corona crisis or the world recession, India’s economy has been least affected under the leadership of Modi ji. This has been possible only because of the foresight of his government,” Chugh said.
He added that the IMF has described India as the fastest growing economy in the world. Certainly, India is continuously progressing by joining the economy of leading countries globally, he added.
Chugh said that in 2014, the country’s economy was counted in the category of fragile economy, but under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi it has reached the top 5 and soon India’s economy will be included in the category of the third largest economy in the world. Chugh said that under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the country’s ‘micro and macro economy’ has strengthened and with the per capita income improved, as a result of which the facilities for the common citizens have also increased.
“The priority of the Modi government has been that the common people should not have to bear any kind of burden”, he said adding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s economic policy, reforms and policy initiatives under Modinomics have worked to make the country self-reliant. Due to this the country’s economy is growing rapidly, he added.
He said he IMF report testifies that the country’s economy is in a very strong position and the future of the country is safe under the leadership of Narendra Modi.
