JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organised “Gaon/Basti Chalo” Abhiyan at Ward 21 Gandhi Nagar of Jammu city. Former Deputy Mayor Jammu & senior BJP leader Baldev Singh Billawaria was mainly present in this campaign.
Speaking on the occasion, Billawaria said that the objective of the campaign is to strengthen the presence of the party in urban and rural areas, propagate the schemes of the Modi government, take care of religious places and to establish direct communication with the rural masses. He said that senior leaders and activists of the BJP party are trying to reach every house in every city and village under this campaign so that information about the schemes of the Modi government can reach the people directly.
Billawaria said that today to give momentum to this campaign, he stayed in Ward 21 Gandhi Nagar along with the party activists, met the people, listened to their problems and assured them of a solution. He said that under the ‘Gaon Chalo Abhiyan’, cleaning of temples and taking care of religious places has also been included as an important initiative. Continuing the same, Billawaria along with Shakti Kendra Pramukh, Booth Committee members and other public representatives, cleaned the famous Laxmi Narayan Temple premises in Gandhi Nagar and spread the message of cleanliness. He said that such events not only clean the religious places but also send a message of cleanliness and social responsibility among the local community. He said that during this campaign, beneficiaries of the main public welfare schemes of Prime Minister Narendra Bhai Modi, such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, and Free Ration Scheme, are being contacted. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Bhai Modi, India has made its mark on the global stage as a strong and self-reliant nation.
Under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the country has made unprecedented progress in every field – be it economic development, national security, health services, Digital India, or poor welfare schemes. He further said that Prime Minister Narendra Bhai Modi has not only said the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, but has also shown by doing it, basic facilities like electricity, roads, toilets, housing and drinking water have reached the masses. Mandal President Rahul Kumar, Indu Bhushan Sharma, Satbir Singh, Varun Sharma, Lovisha Gupta, Daljit Singh, Surinder Bhushan, Chander Kant, Seema Verma, Abhinandan Sharma, Arvind Gupta were present.
