SAMBA: The State Forest Department on Friday raided one primary saw mill which was set up in violation of forest rules in Samba.
A team of forest officials headed by Range Officer Samba, Mohd Hafiz Choudhary,Block officer Samba Ajit Singh Sambyal and forest guard Arun Bhatti, under the supervision of Divisional Forest Officer, Kathua Vijay Verma raided primary saw mil which was located at Ward No 10 Budhwani Samba and was operating without valid licence issued by the competent authority department official said.
During the raid, the officials asked the owner to produce valid licence of saw mill, but the owners failed to produce the same.
In this case, the owner of the primary saw mill had violated the SRO-103 and had set them up illegally and accordingly and the mill was seized by the DFO Kathua.
