JAMMU: National selection (men) committee of the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) today selected India pacer from J&K, Umran Malik for the National Cricket Academy’s (NCA’s) High Performance Monitoring Program for the 2024-25 domestic cricket season.
An information in this regard has been received by the J&K Cricket Association (JKCA) from Head Cricket of the NCA, VVS Laxman.
“Sub-Committee JKCA is pleased to see the hardwork and perseverance of Umran Malik being recognised by the National selectors and hope that J&K cricketer will continue to work hard and will live up to the expectations of the selection penal,” said member administration of the JKCA, Brig. Anil Gupta.
Further, to ensure effective and continuous monitoring, NCA has issued a set of detailed instructions. “Umran Malik has been communicated about the instructions issued by the NCA for strict adherence. The monitoring also include GPS units for injury prevention and tracking overload of players. Such selected players will be issued a personal GPS monitoring unit,” further said Gupta.
