ULB polls: BJP has lost ground, says Bhalla

JAMMU: Slamming BJP for its failure to keep up with the poll promises made to people of Jammu, former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla expressed concern over the neglect of development in the state in general and Gandhi Nagar constituency in particular.
He was addressing party workers at Qasim Nagar to review the preparation of Urban Local Bodies elections.
He criticized the BJP for ignoring the people of Jammu region by not taking any stand on important issues and also in ensuring the proper supply and distribution of essential commodities.
On this occasion large number of youth joined Congress party. Welcoming the new entrance into the party fold, Bhalla said that youth who have joined Congress will definitely feel the difference as prosperity and well being of youth has been the hallmark of policies and programmes of the party.
District President Jammu Anil Chopra said that Congress is very much sure to win ULB elections as under BJP and PDP role people have been left in lurch and they now feel deceit and cheated after the betrayal with people of Jammu region on the issue of Smart City, AIIMS, employment, education add several and other core issues.
Bhalla ask the workers to rejuvenate their strength to teach BJP a lesson in upcoming Local Bodies Elections. He assured the people that he will not leave any stone unturned to project an address the grievances of people of Gandhi Nagar Constituency. He ask the workers that to make preparation for grass root level as BJP which has already loss the ground will not in a position to even compete with them.
Bhalla, while taking serious note of shortage of ration, unscheduled power cuts and irregular supply of drinking water, urged the Governor to immediate constitute committees to look into the genuine and burning issues of common man.
Among those who present on the occasion include Ramakant-General Secretary District Congress Committee, Naresh Maini, Gourav Chopra, Rakesh Bhagat, Dewan Chand, Panna Lal, Sumitra, Yash, Ishfaq, Avtar, Bittu, Lekhraj and others.
