UDHAMPUR: A seven day sports festival ‘Udhampur Olympics’ was organised from 8th to 14th February 2017 by Udhampur Police under Civic Action Programme of J and K Police. Army Public School (APS) Udhampur Rising Stars clinched their positions in different games as in badminton singles U-14 best player by Anushka Roy, Anvi Dixit in 100 mtrs, 200 mtrs and relay race and Shamsher Singh in both long jump and 4 x 100 mtrs relay race U-19 boys.
The Chief Guest, Dr S.P Vaid, Director General of Police, J and K awarded the winners with gold, silver and bronze medals.
APS Udhampur topped the medals tally winning 20 gold medals, four silver and 22 bronze medals. School Principal, Sanjeev Kumar, congratulated all the winners and teachers for bringing laurels to school. He felt proud of his school sports team and addressed the students to excel not only in academics but in sports field too.
