Two years RI, fine for Judicial Clerk and Naib Court

JAMMU: Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu Sanjay Dhar on Saturday awarded two years rigorous imprisonment and a fine Rs 50,000 to Kuber Singh, Judicial Clerk and Bishan Dass, Naib Court, and then posted in Tehsildar Officer, Jammu who were caught red-handed by Vigilance Organisation Jammu (VOJ).
According to the VOJ case, the complainant namely Bua Ditta, resident of Rajpura Mandi, Panchyat Panjore, in a written statement to the Police Station Vigilance Organization Jammu on September 23, 2005 has alleged that Bishan Dass, (SgCt) demanded illegal gratification for closure of sub judice case pending against him and his relatives in the court of Naib Tehsildar, Jammu under Section 107/117 CrPC,”. On this VOJ made a trap team and caught red-handed both the accused while accepting Rs 2500 as illegal gratification.
Special Judge, Anticorruption, Jammu Sanjay Dhar after hearing CPO Harminder Singh for the State whereas Senior Advocate PN Raina and Advocate SC Bali for the accused persons observed that both the accused who supposed to be vested with virtues of honesty of integrity and the nature of the services belong, make their crime all the more serious and awarded two years RI in each court and fine Rs 50,000.
