BISHNAH : Two married women attempted to end their lives by sprinkling kerosene oil and setting themselves on fire.
In the first case a newly married woman identified as Gulshan Saini wife of Ram Pal resident of village Kool came to her parent’s house and put herself on fire late in the night on Sunday. Father of the girl Charan Singh who tried to save her also suffered-serious injuries. Both father and daughter were shifted to Sub District Hospital Bishnah where they were provided first aid and evacuated to Government Medical College Hospital (GMCH) Jammu. Gulshan Saini expired enroute to GMCH. Her body was handed over to her in-laws after completing the legal formalities.
In the second case the woman identified as Rajni Dvi wife of Mast Ram resident of Laswara, put herself on fire after sprinkling kerosene oil on Monday. Seriously injured woman was shifted to Sub District Hospital Bishnah but due to her critical condition she was evacuated to GMCH for specialised treatment.
The Bishnah Police have registered both the cases for investigation.
