Jammu: Two Vaishnodevi pilgrims have died of heart attack in separate incidents in Reasi District, police said on Wednesday.
Siladevi Singh from Kolkata, along with her family, was on their way to pay obeisance at Vaishnodevi Shrine in Katra belt of Reasi District when she had a cardiac arrest at Bhawan yesterday, they said.
She was initially rushed to a dispensary at Bhawan and later shifted to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Katra, where doctors declared her as brought dead, police said.
The body was handed over to her family members after performing legal formalities, they said.
In another incident, Arun Surekha, a pilgrim from Bangalore died of massive heart attack while on his way to Bhavan for Darshan last evening, they added.
Surekha was declared brought dead when he was shifted to a dispensary at Bhawan.
