Two theft cases solved; 3 held, stolen money, goods recovered

JAMMU/RAMNAGAR: Police on Monday solved two theft cases by arresting three accused persons and recovered stolen money and goods.
As per details, on December 20, 2020, Daljeet Singh, son of Sardar Singh, resident of Ekta Vihar, Gangyal lodged a report at Police Station that some thieves have stolen money from his Scooty, which was parked outside SBI Bank Kaluchak. On this, a FIR vide No. 137/20 under Section 380 of IPC was registered at Police Station Gangyal.
After this, special police teams of Police Station Gangyal were constituted. The team led by SHO Insp Raghubir Singh was rounded-up and a suspect namely Ravinder Singh, son of Rattan Lal, resident of Khanwal, Tehsil and District Samba, at present Railway Road Vijaypur, with help of technical team and CCTV footage of bank premises. During sustained questioning, the suspect confessed his involvement in crime and on his disclosure stolen cash worth Rs 1.95 lakh was recovered.
Meanwhile, Vijay Singh, son of Sagar Singh, resident of Ward No 12 Ramnagar lodged a complaint of theft in his house, after which a FIR was registered. During investigation, police nabbed two thieves and recovered stolen jewellery from their possession.
