SRINAGAR: Two structures including a Masjid were damaged in two separate fire incidents in Shopian and Kupwara. Fire broke out in the residential house of Farooq Ahmad Malik, resident of Alyalpora, Shopian, resulting in damage to the house. In another incident, fire broke out in a Masjid at Mir Mohalla, Natnoosa in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kupwara, resulting in damage to the Masjid. Fire was brought under control by fire tenders in both incidents.
‘Vaid will provide better police service to public’

JAMMU: Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) hoped that newly appointed DGP, S.P Vaid will provide better police service to the public at all levels and get their grievances redressed, protect their lives and properties while dealing with the law order situation.
State President RJD, Syed Gh Nabi Forah said Vaid is a highly decorated visionary and gentle police officer.
