Two motorcycles recovered, 2 held in Jammu

JAMMU: Police on Thursday claimed to have solved two theft cases by arresting two and recovering two motorcycles.
According to reports, on 22nd February 2016 one Shashi Pal son of Baldev Dass, resident of 241, Mast Garh Jammu, lodged a complaint at Police Station Janipur regarding the theft of his scooty bearing registration No JK02BJ-6065.
In this regard, a case FIR No 22/2016 under Section 379 RPC was also registered at police station Janipur.
In another theft case registered wide FIR No. 23/2016 under Section 379 RPC at Police Station Janipur on 28th February 2016 lodged by Lakhbir Singh son of Late Jagat Singh, resident of Lane No. 53, Greater Kailash, Jammu that his motorcycle Pulsar 220 bearing registration No. JK02AU-2748 was stolen by some unknown persons from Court Complex, Janipur, Jammu.
On 8th March 2016, during routine Naka at Janipur, one motor cyclist coming from Amphalla after seeing the Naka tried to escape but was apprehended. On questioning, he disclosed his name as Ankush Sharma alias Don son of Anil Sharma, resident of Gol Gujral and the pillion rider Ajeet Sharma son of Tirth Ram, resident of Lakkar Mandi Janipur.
When asked to produce the documents of motorcycle, they did not give satisfactory reply and were not able to produce the documents. Naka party arrested the suspected persons and after detailed questioning, they stated that the above mentioned motorcycle in question was stolen by them from High Court Jammu parking area and on further disclosure one more Scooty was also recovered from their possession.
The arrest was made by SHO Janipur Inspector Ranbir Singh Bhau under the close supervision of Sugandha Mahajan Dy.SP Hqrs and Dr. Vinod Kumar, SP City North Jammu.
