Two killed as mini bus turns turtle in Billawar

JAMMU: Two persons, including a six-year old child, died when a mini bus they were travelling in skidded off and turned turtle in Billawar tehsil of Kathua district.
“A mini bus JKO8C-1187 on way from Uchhapind to Billawar this afternoon skidded off the road and turned turtle when reached at Gurah Kalyal in Ramkote belt of Billawar,” police here said.
They said that one Asha Rani,6, daughter of Shiv Dass died on the spot while 11 others got injured out of which five passengers were referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital. Another passenger, identified as Dhani Ram,80, son of Challo Ram, resident of Thara Kulwal died on way to Jammu hospital on reaching near Samba district.
Other injured were identified as Deep Kumar,25, son of Ramesh Chand, resident of Uchapind, Ramkot, Sanjeev Kumar, 38, son of Om Prakash, resident of Didwara, Billawar, Marzeema Begum, 45, wife of Saleem Akhtar, resident of Dharmani, Ramkot and Krish Sharma,4, son of Suresh Kumar, resident of Thara Kulwal, Ramkot.
The other wounded persons are hospitalised at Sub District Hospital, Billawar. A case under Section 279,337 304-A of RPC has been registered at Police Post Ramkot.
