KATRA: The Reasi Police on Thursday arrested two drug paddlers from the holy town of Katra and recovered 1.350 Kg poppy straw from their possession.
The police party of Police Station Katra led by Sub Inspector Vias Jasrotia, In-Charge Police Post Kakryal under the supervision of Inspector Kuldeep Krishan, SHO Police Station Katra, Dr. Ashok Sharma, SDPO Katra, Sumir Kotwal, Addl.SP Katra and overall supervision of Sujit Kumar, SSP Reasi, acting on a specific information, laid a special naka at Bhagtha Tehsil Katra.
During checking /frisking, the Police Party recovered/seized 1 kg 350 grams poppy straw from the possession of two drug peddlers namely Ashok Kumar son of Beli Ram resident of Kunn Tehsil Katra and Som Raj son of Krishan Dutt resident of Manoon Tehsil Katra.
Both the accused persons have been arrested and booked under FIR No. 211/2015 section 8/15 NDPS Act for investigation.
