SRINAGAR: Kulgam police on Monday arrested two drug peddlers and recovered huge quantity of poppy straw from them. Following a tip off, a police party of police post Frisal during Naka checking, intercepted a Santro car bearing registration number JK03C-8799 at Frisal, Yaripora. On checking, police recovered 37 kilograms of poppy straw and arrested two people who were travelling in the car. They were identified as Ghulam Mohammad Dass, son of Mohammad Rafeeq and Ghulam Nabi Dass, son of Mohammad Ahsan, both resident of Waghama, Anantnag.
Kulgam Police has registered a case FIR number 132/2016 under section 8/15 NDPS Act and investigation is on.
