KATHUA: Police on Tuesday arrested two persons and recovered 50 bottles of liquor from their possession.
As per the details, on a specific information, Ajay Singh Jamwal, SHO Police Station Rajbagh assisted by Incharge Police Post Marheen under the direction of SDPO Border and overall supervision of Pawan Parihar, SSP Kathua laid a Naka at Chak Nathan and intercepted a Maruti Car bearing registration No. JK08B-0470 and on checking of the vehicle recovered 50 bottles of Punjab excise liquor. Two persons were arrested which were identified as Surjeet Singh son of Bishan Dass resident of Bambang Tehsil and District Pathankot and Dharam Paul son of Hari Dass Tehsil and District Pathankot. A case vide FIR No.262/2016 under section 50(1) Excise Act was registered against the accused persons at Police Station Rajbagh.
