Two burglars held, stolen property recovered

JAMMU: Police on Wednesday arrested two burglars and recovered stolen property worth two lakhs of rupees from their possession.
“On 3rd February 2017 one Birbal, son of Bachitar Ram, resident of Hakkal lodged a written report that during the intervening night of 2nd and 3rd February 2017 some burglars have broken locks of his shop situated at Karan Bagh Gadigarh and stolen electronic items from the shop,” a police spokesperson said.
“On this compliant, a FIR No 18/2017 was registered at Police Station Satwari and the investigation entrusted to In-charge PP Gaddigarh,” a police spokesperson maintained.
During the course of investigation, several suspects were rounded up. Two suspects namely Romesh Kumar alias Killu son of Munshi Ram, resident of Chack Avtara and Sunil Kumar alias Kalu son of Parasram resident of Chack Avtara Bishnah were arrested and put to thorough interrogation. The suspects confessed their involvement in the case and on their disclosure seven Smart Phones and one LED 32 inch has been recovered,” he added.
The arrests have been made by Inspector Manjeet Singh SHO Satwari and Incharge PP Gaddigarh SI Jaswinder Singh.
