KISHTWAR: Police on Friday smashed another drug racket in Tatani Saroor area of Kishtwar district and recovered a consignment of cannabis and arrested the two persons involved in the drug peddling.
The accused have been identified as Mohd Ashraf son of Abdul karim and Mohd Ayaz son of Lasa Lone both resident of village Tatani Saroor of tehsil Drabshalla.
According to a report, on an information, police laid a Naka under the jurisdiction of Police Post Shalimar and during the checking of vehicles and pedestrians intercepted two persons who were passing suspicious gestures. On their search, police recovered 850 grams and 350 grams of Charas from their possession respectively making it total 1 kg and 200 grams. Both were arrested and a case vide FIR No. 254/2017 under section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Kishtwar.
