Manhunt launched to nab 2 absconders

KATHUA: Kathua Police on Tuesday solved a robbery case by arresting 2 Amritsar based robbers. A manhunt has been launched to nab their accomplices who managed to flee after looting a jewellery shop on gun point.
Three mobile phones along with a pistol, one magazine, 04 live rounds and one sharp edged weapon have been recovered from their possession from their possession.
An FIR was registered at Police Station Hiranagar on the complaint of Nirdosh Verma, son of Lal Man, resident of Gurha Mundian Tehsil Hiranagar District Kathua in connection with robbery in his shop (Vishwakarma Jewellery Shop) following which an FIR 55/2022 was registered under sections 392/452/447/323/34/IPC, 3/25, 4/24 Arms Act.
As per the complainant at about 1720 hours, four robbers came on motorcycles (PB02CM-1023) and other without registration number, carrying a pistol and a sharp edged weapon entered into the jewellery shop and took away 02 boxes having 1.5 kg silver ornaments along with one Samsung mobile phone and managed to flee.
Police party led by Inspector Sumit Sharma SHO Police Station Hiranagar under the supervision of SDPO Border Pankaj Soodan and SSP Romesh Kotwal succeeded in arresting two robbers near Tarnah Nallah Dyalachak, who were trying to flee out of J&K.
During sustained questioning both the accused confessed their involvement and on their personal search, a pistol, one magazine and 04 live rounds were recovered from one accused namely Inderjeet Singh (Prince), son of Gurdeep Singh, resident of Baaz Wali Kothi, Manj Road Amritsar and one sharp edged weapon has been recovered from possession of other accused namely Vishal Singh, son of Satnam Singh resident of Balmiki Mahla, Majitha Amritsar along with 03 stolen mobile phones were also recovered. Kathua police has launched a manhunt to nab two absconders.
