SAMBA: Police on Monday arrested a trucker and recovered 5 kg poppy straw from his possession.
According to a report, during routine checking of vehicles at Naka point under the supervision of Ashish Sagar in-charge police post Mansar, one truck (JKO2R 3345) driven by one Harbans Singh son of Gulshan Singh resident of Ghati Tehsil and district Kathua was stopped for checking. During the search, police recovered 5 kg poppy straw (Bhukki) from the cabin of the truck.
The driver of the truck was arrested and a case under relevant section of law was registered against him.
