JAMMU: Transporters decided to go strike from tomorrow in support of the genuine issue of Jammu people regarding lifting of Sarore Toll Plaza.
Addressing media-persons here today, Ajit Singh, Chairman All J&K Transport Welfare Association, they have taken a decision to go on Chakka Jam strike from Jammu from Friday, September 1 if Government failed to address these issues.
“They must take a decision with regard to Toll Plaza as many organizations are on the road. It is illegal to charge Toll when there is no good road,” he said
The AJKTWA leader strongly urged the Union Transport Minister, Nitin Gadkari, Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and National Highway authorities to suspend Sarore Toll Plaza.
Ajit Singh said the tomorrow all the transporters from Jammu Udhampur and other district will assemble at Bhagwati Nagar Chowk at 9:00 AM to start ‘Chakka Jam’ strike in Jammu.
