Transparency is hallmark of PDP-BJP Govt: Vibodh

RAJOURI: Launching crusade to bring transparency at grassroots level, Member Legislative Council and State Vice President of Bharatiya Janata Party Advocate Vibodh Gupta on Thursday held a meeting with revenue officers and other staff of two Tehsils of Rajouri and issued instructions to resolve public issues in time bound period.
Advocate Vibodh Gupta chaired meeting with Assistant Commissioner Revenue Rajouri along with Tehsildar Rajouri, Tehsildar Manjakote, all Naib Tehsildars, Girdawars and Patwaris of these Tehsils and discussed various issues related to the public and also sought their suggestions in bringing some changes in the system of deliverance. In the meeting, instructions were issued to resolve public grievances in time bound period.
MLC instructed the revenue officials to implement Public Services Guarantee Act in true spirit and issue the documents of public importance within 15 days. He said that people face problems in getting land records, Girdawari, permanent resident certificates and category certificates but government has taken serious note of it and coalition wants to resolve public issues at grass roots level. He said that Revenue Department is directly connected with the public grievances and this department needs reforms at grass roots levels. Terming Coalition Government as crusader of corruption, Gupta said that accountability and transparency is first agenda of the government and all ministers are working to implement this agenda at grass roots level in order to provide relief to the common masses. He said that since Revenue Department is most important department connected with the people so he started consultation with the grassroots level employees in bringing transparency.
MLC pressed upon revenue officials to rectify the lists of flood relief as locals have registered their complaints that there is some discrepancies in the lists. He said that relief must be given after on ground verification and there should be no favoritism in it.
Gupta said that officials must realise that people are coming o them with small issues and these issues need to be addressed at the lower level in order to realise the dream of government for brining transparency at lower level.
He said that when employees at lower lever start working efficiently, dedicatedly and honestly the whole system will be changed and people will soon taste the fruit of change. He also pressed upon the officials to ensure proper survey of BPL as these people must be given justice.
