Training on youth leadership by NYK concludes

UDHAMPUR: A three-day training on youth leadership and community development programme organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra Udhampur Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Govt. of India at Sarar Block Chenani concluded here on Friday.
Youths from all sections of the society from various Youth Groups/Mahilla Mandals participated in this programme between age group of 15-29 years. Resource persons and experts were invited from different departments to cover various aspects and topics during training of the youths.
On first day of the training, Sarpanch Sudesh Kumar motivated youth about construction of toilets under Nirmal Bharat Abhyaan. Suram Chand from wild life made the youth aware about career opportunity in Wild Life Department . Subash Chander President of Sarar Youth Club stressed on formation of youth clubs and action groups.
On second day, Mohit Sharma, Medical Officer PHC Sudhmahadev, made the youths aware about prevention from certain diseases which can be caused due to the changing weather.Rattan Chand, JE from Agriculture Department, made them aware about various agricultural schemes and various instruments and fertilisers which aids in good agriculture practices.
On the concluding day, Tarentar Singh, Guard from Wild Life Department also delivered lecture. Jagdish Chander,Teacher aware and motivated youth about Beti Bachao and Beti Padhao Abhyaan and certain flagship programmes and urged them to play their part in nation building activities and not to spoil their future by adopting drug practices.
Around 50 youth from Youth Clubs/Mahillla Mandals and Action Groups participated in the training.
