REASI: Krishi Vigyan Kendra(KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Jammu (SKUAST-J) organised a training programme on entrepreneurship development in organic farming at village Talwara of Reasi District which was attended by a number of farmers of the area. The programme was organised under the guidance of Associate Director Extension and Incharge of KVKs of SKUAST-J, Dr.R.K Arora. Scientist and Head of KVK, Reasi, Dr.Banarsi Lal gave a detail view of entrepreneurship development in organic farming. He informed the farmers that keeping the good health in view, organic food is in great demand across the globe and organic farming is the need of the era. He motivated the farmers for organic farming and said that now the time has come that farmer should divert themselves from the subsistence organic agriculture to commercial organic agriculture.
The event was also attended by an awardee progressive organic crops grower, Hans Raj who shared his experiences on organic farming with the other farmers. The scientist also visited the organic fields of the area and appreciated the farmers for their efforts. The programme was assisted by Manohar Lal and concluded by Dr.Banarsi Lal with vote of thanks.
