JAMMU: A training programme for the industrial fraternity with the support of Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) of Ministry of Commerce, Government of India was held here at BBIA Bhawan under Niryat Bandhu Scheme.
Annil Suri, President, BBIA was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
While welcoming members of Industrial Fraternity, Amit Kumar, Deputy Director, DGFT highlighted various benefits being provided to industrial sector by the Ministry of Commerce under the said scheme and requested the members present to avail the benefit of the scheme by increasing their export to different countries. A presentation was given by the department indicating various schemes and benefits available to industrial units in the field of import and export.
Suri appreciated the steps taken by Director General of Foreign Trade by organising first such event for the industrial fraternity of Jammu and also conveyed his gratefulness to Amit Kumar for highlighting various schemes for the member units which will help them to expand their business by importing the raw material and exporting the finished goods. He said that it will also generate added employment opportunities in the State.
The gathering was also addressed by Sujiv Jain, Managing Director, M/s Karamhans Foods Private Limited who stressed upon the officials to provide latest information about the implementation of various schemes related to industrial sector in our State enabling industrial fraternity to avail the benefits of export and import of their products.
The programme was attended by Rakesh Bhat Senior Vice President, Lalit Mahajan, General Secretary, BBIA and other prominent industrialist / exporters of Jammu.
Lalit Mahajan, General Secretary BBIA presented vote of thanks on behalf of the Association and Aruna Narula conducting the proceedings of the seminar on behalf of DGFT. Mementos were also presented to the dignitaries by the DGFT.
