JAMMU: Traffic Police seized 39 vehicles and Challened 783 others for contravening of Motor Vehicle Act/Rules.
Giving Details, SSP Traffic Jammu, Rohit Baskhotra informed that five buses, 17 mini-buses, five vehicles carrying school children, three tippers, one tractors-trolly, three load carriers (auto), four LMV and one motorcycle were seized here on Thursday.
“Violators were also Challaned for not wearing seat belts, use of mobile phone, overloading and triple riding,” he said, adding that Traffic Police Jammu directed all owners/drivers plying commercial/private vehicles to have the valid documents and strictly follow traffic rules for the safety and security of people.
