Traders at Devi Maa Temple ask authorities to continue road project without diversion

JAMMU: Alleging some foul play in the ongoing construction of main road near Devi Maa Temple, Nomiam at Katra, the traders on Wednesday urged upon the concerned authorities to continue the construction of road as per the approved plan, so that the traders of this area are not affected.
Addressing a press conference here, a chemist trader, Dr Ravi Kumar alleged that the authorities appointed for the construction of main road near Devi Maa Temple are trying to divert the road after making some changes in the planned map approved for this road project for some reasons better known to them. “Through, some means we have came to know that in order to provide benefit to some locals, the authorities appointed for the construction of this road project are trying to make some changes in the already approved road project, due to which the traders at Devi Maa Chowk shall be affected badly,” he said. Traders warned the authorities, if it makes any change in the construction of road as per the approved plan project, they will be forced to come on road and will not allow completing this road project.
Among others who were present in the press conference included Amit Sharma, Tirath Ram, Neelam Sharma, Gyan Chand, Amrish Bazal, Ganesh Lal, sham Lal, Vinood Kumar, Rakesh Kumar and Subash Kumar.
