He said that it is really matter of pride for the people of J&K that delegates from G20 member nations are visiting the Union Territory after Prime Minister Narendra Modi provided this opportunity to Jammu and Kashmir to showcase splendid beauty of the UT and the warmth which people show to the visitors as J&K is famous for its matchless hospitality.
He said that UT must get ready for a gigantic boost to its economy by this major international event as investors from beyond the borders are also likely to show interest in investing in the region after the success of this multi-nation congregation. He said that PM Modi’s keen interest towards J&K has started giving results because it is only under PM Modi’s realms that such a significant international Jamboree has been organized in the Valley, in which high profile delegates from 20 big nations are likely to participate.
The G20 tourism working group meeting held in Kashmir carries significant global implications, serving as a powerful message that Kashmir is open for business and presenting a compelling advertisement for tourism. The working group’s recommendations are expected to provide international exposure to Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), facilitating substantial economic development in the region. Over the past few months, numerous corporate leaders, expatriates, businessmen, and diplomats from Middle Eastern countries have visited J-K to explore investment opportunities, underscoring the growing interest in the region.
The Group of Twenty (G20), a prominent forum for international economic cooperation, assumes a crucial role in shaping and reinforcing the structure and governance of J&K. The relevance of the G20 in Kashmir lies in its potential to offer a diplomatic platform for discussions, foster dialogue, and indirectly influence the situation by focusing on economic stability and development. He condemned Pakistan for unnecessarily making remarks on the conduct of the G20 meeting in Kashmir despite the rogue nation not being a member of this important group of countries. He asked the people of J&K to welcome the move and express gratitude towards the PM for providing such a momentous platform to the UT to showcase natural bounties and warmth which people possessed in their hearts for the tourists and visitors landing on the paradise on earth.
He also lauded the J&K administration which is working day and night under the stewardship of LG Manoj Sinha to make this event a big success.
