JAMMU: A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite imagination and instill love for learning
JK Public School (JKPS) Panjtirthi wore an air of festivity and merry making on the celebration of Teachers’ Day.
Music, fun and laughter seemed to pervade the air. Teachers’ Day was celebrated at JKPS Panjtirthi to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan with incredible gusto and zeal.
Jakiians highlighted the loving and heart warming relationship that a teacher and a student always share at JKPS.
They further entertained the teachers through role plays, singing and dance performances.
The most awaited and excited segment of the celebration was the Teachers’ felicitation ceremony. The Principal Suman Banbah wished Happy Teachers’ Day to one and all and expressed, “I am proud to be associated with the group of teachers who are determined, disciplined and hard working.”
She added, “Teaching is one of the noblest profession that creates all other professions.”
She delivered a talk about the desired personality traits of a teacher, impact of a disciplined teacher on a child, tips for Time management, benefits of punctuality , tips for flawless teaching and perfect copy corrections “.
She further commented ” I believe that the motivated staff is always more productive and more efficient and evaluating the competency and performance of the teachers is very much required to promote their professional growth and to raise the standard and quality of education.” To give teachers their well-deserved credit and recognition and appreciation, the Principal herself discretely selected 20 best teachers of the year and felicitated them with cash prizes.
On the occasion the Principal reviewed, analysed and spoke about the qualities, traits, talents and achievement of each teacher individually .
